Vitality Data Centre: A Data Driven Approach for Analyzing Urban Vitality in the Netherlands

For this week’s TEC, we have invited Dr. Zhiyong Wang from Utrecht University to give us a presentation on 4pm, Friday, 12 March., about the Vitality Data Centre project. Dr. Wang is a researcher working in the Department of human geography and spatial planning at the Utrecht University. Before this, He was a postdoc researcher in the GIScience research group at the Heidelberg University, Germany. He holds a PhD degree from the Delft University of Technology, in the Netherlands (graduated on 9 June 2015). Dr. Wang’s research is focused on spatial data modeling, processing, management and analysis. His fields of expertise include geomatics, artificial intelligence (e.g., multi-agent system, machine learning), path planning, and optimization algorithms, etc.
