Project: This project (Autonomous Vehicles: ITS the way to go project) proposed a blueprint for an AV network path that LTA can incorporate into their masterplan. The team conducted network analysis using ArcGIS Pro and data acquired from government sources to analyse theroad networks in the CBD. Additionally, this project retrieved traffic news data from Twitter using data mining tools to extrapolate congestion-prone areas within the CBD. Using this information, they curated a blueprint of a road network lined withsensors to safely deploy AVs in the CBD. This will reduce congestion and act as astepping stone to help Singapore achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Learn more here.
