The field of computational social science has gained much traction in recent years with the widespread availability of big data and profound leaps in computational power and methods, leading to ground-breaking impacts on social science research by academics and its policy implications for societies and nations.
The Global Forum of Computational Social Science, jointly organized by The Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FASS) and the Department of Information Systems and Analytics (DISA) within the School of Computing in the National University of Singapore (NUS), was held successfully on August 23-25, 2021. Through this forum, NUS FASS and DISA aim to promote the advancement of this exciting inter-disciplinary field in Singapore and Asia.
Several colleagues from the GIS Unit participated in the forum, with A/P Feng representing Geography and co-chaired the forum and A/P Wang and Dr Yan making presentations as part of the forum. Please refer to the video playlist below for the full programme.
