Dr Yan Yingwei’s award of Learning Innovation Fund

The Department of Geography and everyone at the GIS Unit would like to extend our congratulations to Dr Yan Yingwei, who has recently been awarded a Learning Innovation Fund – Technology (LIF-T) grant to support development of “Introduction to GIS” as a blended learning module.
Technology-enhanced Learning at NUS aims to provide a distinctive and high quality education to every student by capitalizing on the opportunities that technological developments present and embracing evidence-based teaching methodologies, to shape our educational offerings and pedagogies that will allow our students to learn in ways that meet the demands of today’s world, and to align our engagement with their learning styles, to personalize their learning, and to cater to different abilities and ambitions.
The Learning Innovation Fund – Technology (LIF-T) was created in 2012 to seed faculty TEL projects across the institution, support MOOCs and blended learning modules.
